Recently, we tested out the genie plus when visiting Walt Disney World. When it first came out, there were a lot of complaints and mixed feelings about it, and we heard many reports that the standby lanes were sometimes shorter than the genie plus lightning lanes.
What we found, was that for one, we didn't always need the genie plus, but when we did, it sure came in handy. Things seemed to have simmered down from the initial start of the genie plus. In fact, we were able to ride Guardians of the Galaxy three times during our stay.
I will admit, I had my doubts about it, but all in all, it turned out to be very handy and I actually like it better than the previously free fast passes. Yes, it's a cost, but a minimal one, well worth making your vacation more enjoyable by getting the most out of what you are spending in time and money on your vacation.
